ILOILO CITY — As the demand for reliable and cost-efficient trucks continues to rise in the Philippines, JMC Iloilo is solidifying its position as a leading brand in the Light Trucks category. With an increasing number of JMC trucks on the roads, the brand’s growing presence in Iloilo and the Panay region is a testament to its steady expansion.

For Arellano “Rel” Rola Jr., Sales Manager of JMC Iloilo, the dealership’s success is no surprise. “JMC Iloilo has been steadily growing its market share. As a testament to this, you can see a lot of JMC trucks on the road on any given day,” he shared.
Panay Island is one of the major economic hubs in the Visayas, making it a strategic location for JMC’s expansion. In fact, JMC Iloilo was one of the first JMC dealerships in the Philippines under the Auto Global Group.
With the Philippines’ logistics and transportation sector rapidly expanding, the truck market is projected to reach 296,000 units by 2025. Recognizing this opportunity, JMC Iloilo is actively positioning itself to meet the demand for quality, affordable trucks.
Compared to other brands, JMC offers affordable premium trucks that provide excellent value for money. But beyond affordability, Rola emphasizes that customer satisfaction is at the heart of their service.

“Here in JMC Iloilo, it is always about our customers. Whether you come to us to buy a brand-new truck or have your existing JMC vehicle serviced, we strive to deliver an excellent customer experience. We ensure that our personnel are well-trained, and certified spare parts are always available,” he explained.
For Rodrigo Sorongon, Sales Consultant, the reliability and competitive pricing of JMC trucks make them a preferred choice among customers. “JMC is more reliable compared to other brands because we use an Isuzu platform engine and JETRAG transmission, making spare parts readily available. Price-wise, JMC is very competitive compared to other brands,” he added.
When JMC Iloilo was established in 2016, the dealership faced challenges in convincing customers to choose their brand over more established truck brands. Additionally, many clients preferred surplus or reconditioned trucks. However, over time, the quality, reliability, and affordability of JMC trucks won over customers.
“Now, there is a very good acceptance of the JMC brand in Iloilo and Panay. More and more customers are choosing JMC because they know it’s a brand they can trust,” Rola said.
For Rola, the most fulfilling part of his job is seeing happy and satisfied customers. “It is the inner joy and fulfillment of seeing clients happy with their JMC truck. Also, working for JMC is financially rewarding. If you perform and contribute to the company’s growth, you get recognized, rewarded, and even get to travel,” he shared.
Looking ahead, JMC Iloilo has ambitious plans for expansion and the introduction of new models. The much-awaited JMC Freedom will be launched in the second quarter of 2025, followed by another model, JMC Touring.
According to Herbert Dayonot, Sales Consultant, JMC Iloilo is set to become a dominant truck brand in Panay and across the Philippines. “In the next five years, JMC Iloilo will be the dominant brand in Panay and will also expand to the rest of the Philippines. We also plan to open satellite offices in Kalibo, Roxas, and Antique to serve more customers,” he revealed.
Beyond selling trucks, JMC Iloilo ensures that customers receive the best after-sales service. Zandro Delfino, Sales Manager, highlighted their well-equipped facilities and highly trained technicians. “We are equipped with good facilities and fully trained technicians by JMC Philippines. Customer satisfaction is our top priority, and we are always willing to go the extra mile,” he said.
With its commitment to affordability, reliability, and excellent customer service, JMC Iloilo is not just selling trucks, it’s building long-term relationships with customers. As the dealership continues to expand, it remains dedicated to driving the future of Iloilo’s trucking industry.
