With “Sino Ang May Sala” storyline revolving around betrayal, the cast were asked if they have experienced any form of deception in the past whether it was related to love, friendship, business, etc.
While most of them haven’t gone through an experience where a breach of trust took place, Jodi Sta. Maria had an otherwise distressing memory.
“I think lahat naman tayo at one point in our lives naka-experience tayo ng betrayal from somebody na close sa atin, kakilala natin, ka-negosyo natin. Or minsan sa mga tao na acquaintance lang natin,” she said.
“But I believe siguro ‘yung pinakamasakit na klaseng betrayal na ma-eexperience ng isang tao ay ‘yung betrayal na manggagaling sa taong malapit sa’yo, ‘di ba?”
Apparently, Jodi, who plays Fina in the serye, got double-crossed by a person whom she trusted with her money for some business investment.
“Ano ‘to eh. Kasi sa business ‘to eh na nangyari sakin. May nakilala ako, pinagkatiwalaan ko siya, tapos nag-invest ako dun sa negosyo niya. But then, alam mo ‘yung hindi niya binigay kung ano ang dapat na sa akin,” she said.
But what hurt her most was the fact that the double-crosser had the guts to threaten her even though she was the victim.
“And then later on, nung kinakausap ko na siya – siyempre kailangan ko nga kunin ‘yung akin – siya pa ‘yung galit. Siya pa ‘yung nagbanta,” she stated.
Despite the horrific experience, Jodi decided to let go of her anger and surrender everything to the One above.
“After nun, siyempre lesson learned na ‘yun sa akin. Pero wala rin naman ako ginawa. Ang ginawa ko na lang, sinurrender ko na lang siya. Ni–release ko na lang siya kay Lord. Siya na ‘yung bahala,” she remarked.
Meanwhile, fans of Jodi could still catch more of her performances on “Sino Ang May Sala” until next week, August 9. (Push)
