Jokic tallies triple-double as Denver edges Sacramento

NIKOLA Jokic posted a dominant triple-double numbers as Denver Nuggets defeated Sacramento Kings, 132-123, in the 2024-2025 NBA Regular Season on Thursday night (Friday morning in the Philippines) at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.

The three-time NBA MVP finished with 35 points, 22 rebounds, and 17 assists to go with two blocks and a steal as the Nuggets improved to a 28-16 win-loss slate in the standings.

Christian Braun added 21 markers, Michael Porter Jr. tallied 20 points, while Russell Westbrook and Jamal Murray contributed 18 markers apiece as the Nuggets notched their fourth straight win.

The Nuggets were on fire since the start of the game en route to establishing their largest lead at 110-85 on a 66-foot one-handed three-point basket by Jokic at the buzzer.

The Kings mounted a huge run in the fourth quarter as they cut the deficit to 121-126 with under a minute left but free throws by Jokic and a layup by Braun sealed the win for the Nuggets.

DeMar DeRozan finished with 24 points to lead the Kings, while Domantas Sabonis has a near triple-double performance of 23 points, 19 rebounds, and eight assists as they fell to a 23-21 record.

Meanwhile, Golden State Warriors returned to their winning ways with a dominant 131-106 victory over the visiting Chicago Bull at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

Stephen Curry led the way with 21 points, including five three-point conversions, to go with seven assists and four rebounds as the Warriors improved to an even 22-22 record.

Rookie Quinten Post added a career-high of 20 markers, Gui Santos produced 19 markers, while Andrew Wiggins, Moses Moody, Dennis Schröder, and Brandin Podziemski contributed 17, 16, 11, and 10 markers, respectively.

Zach LaVine top-scored for the Bulls with 24 points, Josh Giddey added a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Ayo Dosunmu contributed 13 points as they dropped to a 19-26 record./PN
