“Andito na siya!” These were the words of singer-actress Jolina Magdangal as she welcomed her second child with husband, musician Mark Escueta, on Monday.
On Instagram, the “Magandang Buhay” host shared a photo of their baby girl, Vika, wearing what appears to be a butterfly brooch on her sleeve.
She wrote in its caption: “Andito na siya! Maraming salamat sa lahat ng dasal. Ang sakit ng tahi pero pipilitin ko kayanin.”
“Sobrang worth it ang lahat ng sakit dahil sa nakita kong reaction ni Pele kay Vika,” she added, referring to her 3-year-old son with Escueta. “Will post pictures very, very soon.”
Hours before she gave birth, Magdangal also posted a photo of her with Pele, as she thanked the boy for sleeping beside her and being her source of calm and strength.
“Pangako ko sa ‘yo na hindi ito ang huling akap na tayong dalawa lang,” she wrote in the caption of the photo where she is seen hugging Pele on her hospital bed. “Yayakapin kita habang buhay hangga’t gusto mo pa yakapin si Mama.”
She went to assure her “panganay” that she will continue to make him feel the same affection they have showered him with as an only child.
Magdangal wrote: “Huwag ka magtaka kung bakit hindi muna kita makakatabi, sisiguraduhin ko na palagi ka ma-kiss at maparamdam na na-miss kita. Pagkatapos ko manganak, kakayanin ko maka-recover agad para matulungan pa rin kita maligo, makalaro ka, makakwentuhan ka, at ma-enjoy natin ang bago mong kalaro na si Vika.
“Mahal na mahal kita, anak. Alis lang si mama sandali, pagbalik ko apat na tayo.”
Just weeks before giving birth, Magdangal, 39, shared photos from her maternity shoot in anticipation of Vika’s arrival. At the time, she said: “Still the most magical day of my life is the day I became a mom… And I am excited to experience that magic again.” (ABS-CBN News)
