ILOILO City – All business establishments, public markets and public utility vehicles (PUVs) in Jordan, Guimaras have adopted new normal policies.
This is to limit the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the municipality as ordered under Mayor Ruben Corpuz’s Executive Order (EO) No. 47, Series of 2020.
The direcive took effect on Aug. 28 until further notice.
Under his EO, Corpuz ordered the following measures:
BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENTS
* All business establishments except for health facilities and funeral parlors shall be allowed to open not earlier than 6 a.m. and close not later than 6 p.m.
* Jordan Food Terminal Market (JFTM) and Rizal Market operations shall be observed as follows:
1. JFTM
a. Monday to Saturday – 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
b. Sunday – 5 a.m. to 1 p.m
2. Rizal Market
a. Monday to Saturday – 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
b. Sunday – 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
* non-resident vendors shall not be allowed to sell in all public markets
* minors shall not be allowed to enter all public markets
* senior citizens shall be allowed to enter all public markets given that they shall be accompanied by an able individual
* face shields are required for all vendors and personnel
* a quarantine clearance shall be required for vendors who have undergone home quarantine
TRANSPORTATION
* single motorcycles as public conveyances are not allowed
* tricycles shall have a maximum capacity of three people and plastic barriers are required
All business establishments, public markets and PUVs are also ordered to have a contact tracing log where people accessing their services can write basic information about themselves.
Based on the Aug. 29 bulletin of the province on Facebook, Guimaras has 92 confirmed COVID-19 cases – 44 of which were active.
