“The municipality aims to vaccinate at least 50 percent of its total population by December 2021,” said Dr. Robel T. Gencianeo, RHU head.
He welcomed the arrival of more COVID-19 vaccines, particularly Pfizer and AstraZeneca.
“This will be of great help to our people…The more COVID shots, the more protection we have for severe cases,” said Gencianeo.
Once Jordan achieves herd immunity, Gencianeo said, economic activities will resume and hopefully, people’s lives will normalize.
He urged those not yet vaccinated against COVID-19 to avail themselves of the free jabs.
