JULIA Montes revealed fans will get to see more of her in 2023.
After making her much-awaited onscreen comeback in the finale episode of “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” earlier this year, actress Julia Montes revealed what she discovered about herself while working on director Richard Somes’s upcoming action thriller “Topakk” set for release next year.
“Sa ginagawa ko ngayon, mas ma-action. Siguro ang ma-se-share ko lang sa buong pag-fi-film ko ng movie, na-inspire ako to work ulit. ‘Yun ‘yung parang naging dating sa akin while doing that film. Mas makikita pa nila ako this 2023,” she shared with PUSH in an exclusive interview during the ABS-CBN Christmas Special taping earlier this month.
The 27-year-old actress also shared what kind of changes she wants to make with herself starting next year.
“‘Yung bawasan ‘yung pagiging foodie (laughs). Para naman hindi na ako mahirapan. At saka siguro mas ma-balance ko pa ‘yung time. Kasi medyo nahihirapan ako with school, ‘yung work, tapos siyempre with family. Gusto ko kasi ma-feel nila lahat na laging present ako. Siguro ‘yun lang,” she said.
“Kailangan ko lang ma-balance ‘yun na maisingit ko rin ‘yung me time. And then siguro mas mapa-feel ko pa ‘yung presence ko and ‘yung love ko sa buong family. And ang advice ko for myself sa pagsisimula ng 2023, siguro enjoy kung ano ‘yung meron ngayon sa harap mo. Don’t stress sa ano ‘yung future, just enjoy and just be thankful every time. ‘Yun lang,” she added.
Now that she is becoming more active again in the industry, Julia revealed which actress she would love to work with the most in the near future.
“Siguro si Ms. Vilma Santos kung all time. Kasi sa lahat ng napanuod kong films niya, ang dami niyang nagawa, ang dami niyang naikot na characters. Parang alam ko, personally and with work, ang dami kong matututunan sa kanya. And every time na nakikita ko siya, ‘yung presence niya mararamdaman mo na you will never get intimidated sa kanya kasi ganun siya kabait,” she said.
“Gusto kong ma-experience ‘yung power ng isang Vilma Santos. Favorite movie ko na andun siya is ‘Anak’. All-time favorite ko talaga kasi idol ko din si Ms. Claudine Barretto. Kaya ‘pag pinagsama pa ‘yung dalawa talagang solid,” she added.
This coming New Year, Julia admitted she can’t wait to spend more time with her loved ones.
“Family lang. Siguro ‘yun ‘yung lagi kong binibigay sa family ko. Gusto ko ma-feel nila ‘yung espesyal na end ng taon at ‘yung pagpasok ng bagong taon, kasama ko sila at kasama nila ako. ‘Yun ‘yung gift ko sa kanila,” she revealed. (PUSH)
