LEILA “frailties of a woman” de Lima is accused of violations of Section 5 of the Dangerous Drugs Act which penalizes the “sale, trading, administration, dispensation, delivery, distribution and transportation of illegal drugs.”
The said crime is non-bailable and violators of Section 5 of the Dangerous Drugs Act face 12 years to life imprisonment. Under criminal procedures, “no person charged with an offense punishable by life imprisonment shall be admitted to bail regardless of the stage of the criminal prosecution.”
I don’t see anything remotely political about these charges; people, make no mistake about it: Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima is definitely not a political prisoner. So don’t be an idiot and swallow “hook line and sinker” what she and her handlers are saying. It is a defense born out of desperation hoping to generate popular support. Unfortunately for her and fortunately for us, the natives are not buying her lame excuse.
Just imagine this: if illegal drugs trafficking is an act promoting a political advocacy, then Melvin Odicta was on the same level as, say, Che Guevara or Andres Bonifacio, and his assassination was a political statement. In other words, Melvin Odicta was a martyr for the revolution.
Of course, in the warped minds of the priests and nuns that support Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima, illegal drugs trafficking is a noble political advocacy and the pushers and drug addicts are brave and holy warriors fighting for a noble cause.
To even compare herself with Concha Araneta and other revolutionaries who are incarcerated for their armed struggle espousing a quaint and romantic advocacy that is so passé is blasphemy.
Joma Sison and Luis Jalandoni should be up in arms condemning the blasphemous and irreverent act of this pretentious Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima; she is not worthy to kiss the feet of Concha Araneta.
But you may ask why are the priests and nuns belonging to the Catholic Church so rabid in defending Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima when the natives of this archipelago are fully aware that she has practically broken almost all the 10 Commandments.
Never mind the “Barefoot Lady of Naga” Leni Robredo, she is just using any issue to make stupid comments to make herself relevant. At best, it would be merciful to just ignore her as she always shoots herself in the foot (pun intended) every time she opens her mouth.
The priests and nuns belonging to the Catholic Church and are rabid supporters of Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima are something else. As one who grew up a “catolico cerrado” and a product of Catholic schools from elementary to college, what they are doing is a complete contradiction of what we were taught in school with regards the 10 Commandments and the standards of morality of the Catholic religion.
I guess I must be missing something here because according to the morality standards of the Catholic Church, Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima is probably the most immoral woman in public service.
Ok, so the priests and nuns hate President Rodrigo Duterte but would they compromise their credibility as guardians of morality and the dogmas of their religion because of that hatred? Apparently they did and are doing so.
Now people, I really don’t care who Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima shags; as far I’m concerned that’s the problem of the person she is shagging. What I’m pissed off is the hypocrisy of the priests and nuns.
Then again, what would you expect from priests who have a long history of molesting their altar boys while hiding under their cassocks, and nuns who originally were meant to be “comfort women” for priests during the Middle Ages as they had a hard time fulfilling their vows of chastity?
I can only arrived at this conclusion: these priests and nuns who rabidly support Leila “frailties of a woman” de Lima see her as the reincarnation of “Joan of Arc”,” Mary Magdalene” and “Mother Theresa.” So who can blame them if every time they lock arms with her they feel a sudden surge of holiness descending upon them?
Hallelujah brother, and amen to that!/PN
