THIS WAS how then Secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government Mar “Daang Matuwid” Roxas addressed the so-called “Pork Barrel Queen” and mastermind of the P10-billion Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) scam Janet Napoles when he presented her and her lawyer to the media.
This Freudian slip happened the morning after Janet Napoles turned up in Malacañang after going missing when the PDAF scam exploded.
That Freudian slip got a lot of people wondering as Mar “Daang Matuwid” Roxas was never known for being a courteous fellow, much less a nice guy; why, he even badmouthed the mayor of Tacloban City in the aftermath of super typhoon “Yolanda.”
This faux pas happened right after her debriefing in Malacañang with no less than the President of the Republic Noynoy Aquino together with his merry men i.e. Roxas, Lacierda and Abad. I’m not sure if Drilon was there. Janet Napoles was then brought to the Philippine National Police headquarters in Camp Crame. Again I’m not sure if it was Mar or Noynoy himself who acted as Janet Napoles’ designated driver.
Why the fuss over Janet Napoles and the efforts to make sure she does not speak to the “wrong person” was so obvious that it just confirmed to the natives that Noynoy Aquino and his band of “yellow ribbon devotees” are beholden a few billion times to Janet Napoles.
The rest is history. Janet Napoles was convicted in record time of trumped up charges of illegal detention and whisked away to the National Penitentiary, far from the “curious wrong people” all because Benhur Luy, their whistleblower and chief witness against Napoles, suddenly had an epiphany and went on a retreat at the Bahay ni San Jose Retreat House.
With that all the “yellow ribbon devotees” who profited from the P10-billion PDAF scam breathed a sigh of relief as Janet Napoles can no longer “sing.” They took away her “microphone.”
Of course, the natives of these islands never bought the bullshit and waited it out till that nincompoop Noynoy Aquino is finally gone.
Against all odds, a hick probensyano mayor won as President of the Republic of the Philippines. To make a long story short, something happened that suddenly all the “yellow ribbon devotees” that enjoyed their PDAF are now squirming in their pants.
In a decision last May 5, the Court of Appeals 12th Division reversed the ruling of the Makati Regional Trial Court, Branch 150 finding of Napoles guilty of Luy’s illegal detention last 2012.
The Court of Appeals or CA ordered her release from the Correctional Institute for Women in Mandaluyong where she is being held.
That news, when it broke out, sent shock waves to the rest of those that were included in Janet Napoles’ original list of congressmen and senators who enjoyed their PDAF largesse.
Take note that the Napoles List was largely ignored by the courts and when there was clamor that it be made public it went through an editing and sanitizing process that only three names were left – senators Juan Ponce Enrile, Bong Revilla and Jinggoy Estrada. I need not explain why these three senators were singled out as almost all senators and congressmen – with the exemption of the late senators Miriam Santiago and Joker Arroyo, current senator Ping Lacson and former senator Bongbong Marcos – enjoyed their PDAF sharing.
Now the talks are strong that “Ma’am” Janet will be made into a state witness and given the opportunity to finally sing her song.
This time those who are on “Ma’am” Janet’s list of those who are “naughty and not nice” are not only squirming in their Marks and Spencer knickers but peeing in them as well.
Sen. Francis Pangilinan or “Mr. Sharon Cuneta” as he is officially known in his sample ballots is insisting that “Ma’am” Janet Napoles is the mastermind of the P10-billion PDAF scam and should not be made as state witness.
Yeah right, so “Ma’am” Janet made fools of all congressmen, senators, Speaker of the House, Senate President, the President of the Philippines and most of all the Secretary of the Department of Budget and Management, plus the entire Commission on Audit.
This woman is a diabolical criminal genius. Compared to her, Professor James Moriarty and Lex Luthor are small-time petty swindlers.
Even if “Ma’am” Janet formed a thousand bogus non-government organizations or NGOs that were used as fronts to siphon taxpayers’ money to the pockets of these congressmen and senators, without collusion from them, the Department of Budget and Management, the Commission on Audit, and the President of the Philippines, nothing will happen; those NGOs will be as useless as the paper they were printed on. At best “Ma’am” Janet is just a conduit.
