ILOILO City – A village councilor was arrested after allegedly stabbing his friend in Barangay Cabilao Grande, Carles, Iloilo.
The 50-year-old Dexter Tupas, a resident of the village, was caught around 6:50 p.m. on Saturday, a police report showed.
He allegedly stabbed the 47-year-old Eduardo Calaor while they were having a drinking binge that night.
Calaro sustained a stab wound on the back, the report stated.
He was rushed to the Jesus Culmenares District Hospital in Balasan, Iloilo where he was currently under treatment.
Tupas, on the other hand, was detained in the lockup facility of the Carles police station./PN
