ILOILO – A 46-year-old kagawad of Barangay Cabunotan, Miagao town was arrested during a raid in his house on Thursday morning, July 25.
The suspect identified as Benigno Montalvo Jr. is now detained at the Miagao police station. He faces charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Joint operatives of the Miagao police station, 1st Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company and 601st Mobile Force Company carried out the raid through the strength of a search warrant issued by Judge Nelita Jesusa Arboleda of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court Branch 72.
Recovered from Montalvo was an unlicensed caliber .38 revolver loaded with three rounds of ammunition.
