KALIBO, Aklan – The accommodations for a weeklong festival here are almost full, according to Gerwin Garcia, president of the Sto. Niño Ati-Atihan Accommodations Association here.
Garcia said around 70 establishments in the town, including hotels, inns and pension houses, among others, are 80-percent full.
“We anticipate more local tourists and ‘balikbayans’ arriving due to a series of alumni homecoming of the different schools here,” he added.
The Sto. Niño Ati-atihan Festival will start with the Miss Kalibo Ati-Atihan Pageant. This will culminate with street dancing and revelry on Jan. 16 to 19.
