“IT’S SHOWTIME” host Karylle shared her experience meeting some of South Korea’s top actors such as Lee Dong-wook, Lee Kwang-soo, Lee Da-hee, and Lee Joo-bin. The Kapamilya singer-actress had the opportunity to interview the four actors in person for their latest K-Drama, “The Divorce Insurance.”
Karylle is known to be a huge fan of K-Dramas and Korean culture and she has been vocal about it on social media.
After the short but meaningful interview, she shared how she wanted to keep things professional but failed as she cried out joy seeing her favorite actor, Lee Dong-wook.
“I tried my best to keep together and be totally professional but after the interview, I cried… It’s embarrassing to admit it but okay maybe I shed a tear. The tears actually fell because it was an overwhelming sense of joy as a fan of K-Dramas and my favorite actor, I guess, Lee Dong-wook,” she shared.
The South Korean actor was one of the first actors Karylle watched in her first K-Drama around a decade ago. For her, it was Lee Dong-wook that opened the world of her love for K-Drama.
“The first ever K-Drama that I watched maybe 10 years ago starred him and I think you could tell from my question that was the beginning of me entering the world of K-Dramas. It’s been a great journey ever since. I’m so grateful that the person who ushered me into this beautiful world of K-Drama world was right before my eyes answering my questions about K-Dramas and finding it somewhat interesting it would seem,” she added.
Karylle then expressed how thankful she is for the opportunity that was given to her. She showed the group photo that she was able to take with the cast and shared how she wouldn’t forget the experience.
“What a feeling. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to erase that from my mind because I did try to replay it in my mind many times after the moment happened. The fact that it happens around my birthday, it felt like a big big gift so I’m so so happy,” she said.
“That’s me trying to act like cool–- trying to be cool about things. I can’t believe that they were all like pointing to me… The joy is just immense,” she ended. (Push Team)
