KATHRYN Bernardo and Alden Richards left Manila on Monday to shoot scenes for their upcoming movie in Hong Kong.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Saturday, Bernardo shared that she will be staying in Hong Kong for a month.
“May mga ipapagawa sila sa akin pagdating ko doon para medyo ma-familiarize. Hindi halatang parang inaarte ko lang lahat. Ipapa-feel nila talaga sa akin ‘yung pagiging independent. Kinausap nila si mama kung paano ako i-handle sa Hong Kong. Medyo kinakabahan ako pero it’s all for the character,” she said.
Since she will be gone for a while, Bernardo admitted that she is already having separation anxiety.
“Halo halo ang nafi-feel ko kasi siyempre ang dami kong maiiwan dito. Ang dami kong mami-miss. Pero excited ako at the same time kasi medyo na-present na ‘yung final script namin. Excited ako maipakita ‘yung Hong Kong and ‘yung domestic helpers kung paano sila sa Hong Kong,” she said.
Bernardo said she will definitely miss her boyfriend, actor Daniel Padilla, as well since they won’t be together for quite some time.
“He’s very supportive. Sabi naman niya dadalawin niya ako doon. Confident naman siya kasi ‘yung team kilala niya. Familiar siya sa mga mag-aalaga sa akin. Pero sepanx ‘yun kasi one month,” she said.
Despite having mixed emotions, Bernardo is certain she won’t have a hard time working with Richards.
“Meron kaming shinoot recently and may look test so medyo nakakapag-usap na kami. Super mabait siya and very genuine. Natutuwa ako kasi magiging madali para sa amin kasi bago ito lahat sa amin. Magaan siya kasama so that’s very helpful,” she said.
Directed by Cathy Garcia Molina, Bernardo and Richard’s first acting project together was first announced last month.
It elicited a wave of surprised reactions from fans, since the two stars belong to rival networks as well as two of the most popular love teams in local showbiz. (ABS-CBN News)
