KATHRYN Bernardo is set to make a big-screen comeback this year!
It’s been almost four years since her blockbuster 2019 film “Hello, Love, Goodbye” made history as the highest-grossing film in Philippine history. Now, Kapamilya actress Kathryn Bernardo is more than ready to return to the big screen with exciting projects this year.
The Star Magic artist recently revealed that the first project will be her first foray into the dark comedy genre. During the announcement, Kathryn could not contain her excitement to be working with co-star Dolly de Leon.
“Hindi ako nakatulog kasi masyado [akong] na-excite. Kinakabahan ako kasi big leap ito for me eh. And ewan ko, sigurado dahil naging very supportive din lahat personally and lahat dito sa ABS-CBN,” Kathryn said.
“So, I know na I have their support and I personally asked for this. Na after ‘2 Good 2 Be True,’ I wanted to do a genre na hindi ko pa nagagawa before and dark comedy. I love watching dark comedy series and movies. But then ‘yung gagawin ko ‘yun, for sure it will be challenging,” she added.
“But I’m accepting the challenge. So my first project with Star Cinema will be happening this year and we will start filming very, very soon. The final title for my movie this 2023 is ‘A Very Good Girl’ under Star Cinema. It’s going to be exciting because I will be working with the one and only Ms. Dolly De Leon. She agreed to work with me,” she continued.
Kathryn added she cannot wait to start filming with the internationally acclaimed actress.
“Kasi sinabi niya na nagkasama na pala kami years ago when I was younger. Before pa pero it was very short lang. So now I’m looking forward na mas makatrabaho siya ng mas matagal and mas makilala siya. What a great honor na nabigyan niya ako ng oras. Thank you so much, Ms. Dolly. She’s the queen,” Kathryn said.
