KAYE Abad only has fond regard for her former reel- and real-life partner John Lloyd Cruz who, like the returning actress, now has a family of his own.
Abad, who is now based in Cebu with her husband Paul Jake Castillo, was asked during her “Tonight with Boy Abunda” guesting on Tuesday whether she has crossed paths with Cruz.
Cruz, who has been on hiatus from showbiz since late 2017, is reportedly also living in Cebu with his partner, Ellen Adarna, and their son.
While they have yet to come across each other, Abad said she is looking forward to reuniting with Cruz onscreen should the opportunity arise.
Asked what she considers special about Cruz, Abad brought up his personality, as well as the fact that he was her first-ever boyfriend.
“First love,” she said, as she recalled their time together, starting when they co-starred in “Tabing Ilog” as lovers from 1999 to 2003. (ABS-CBN News)
