Kelsey Merritt takes fans backstage at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

FILIPINO-American model Kelsey Merritt gave her fans a peek of how was it being at the backstage of the 2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Merritt, the first Filipina model to become a Victoria’s Secret Angel, teased her walk in an Instagram post between breaks.

“About to do our second show!” she wrote. “The energy here is crazy!”

Her Instagram stories show a much more detailed account of what went on backstage — including getting her hair done and shuffling to the dressing room.

Merritt introduced John David Pfeiffer, another Filipino on set, and Roman Young, the agent who discovered Merritt.

The posts show Merritt with other Angels, particularly Josie Canseco, Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel, and Josephine Skriver.

She also showed an exchange with Indian-Australian model Kelly Gale, who was eating chocolate between tapings.

“We are preparing for the second show, and we are eating our hearts off,” Merritt said in a separate snap.

While it was Merritt’s first walk down the runway, it was Brazilian model Adriana Lima’s last. Merritt posted another photo with Lima, who is retiring this year and whom she said was an inspiration to her growing up.

Merritt, who studied in the Philippines before moving to New York, shot with Victoria’s Secret sportswear line before moving on to become a full-fledged Angel.

She is the second Filipina in recent history to work with the brand, after Miss Universe 2012 1st runner-up Janine Tugonon appeared in the lingerie line’s Pink ad.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show airs on ABC on Dec. 2, Sunday. (CNN)
