Baysulangpu Artists Society, in cooperation with MORE Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power), held an art workshop where children enjoyed drawing and coloring using Oil pastels.
For the entire month Of October, every Saturday, MORE Power served as the benefactor of the cause- Children painted bigger canvases to express their imagination. Participants enjoyed the event by expressing their thoughts and feelings through art.
The art workshop Started in Barangay Bo. Obrero, Lap uz last June and continued to spread the art appreciation to children in the district plazas of Jaro, Molo, and Arevalo, as well as in barangays Ortiz and Zamora in City Proper. The art session aims to discover potential visual artists at a young age and to develop their artistic skills.
The art session tour at the plaza concluded with the selection of promising young visual artists who will have a formal art class at City Hall every Saturday from November until December.
This is part of the Iloilo City Government’s Ginhawa 2.0 Mental Health Resilience and Well-Being Program, which provides a “weekend getaway” and relief from Stress.
