HERE’S what happened: Bela Padilla teased good friend Kim Chiu about her ex Gerald Anderson in an episode of “Gandang Gabi Vice.” Chiu’s fans got riled up. Padilla had to clarify that it was a joke.
It was all much ado about nothing – and this is exactly what Chiu thought of what happened, explaining to everyone that that was just playful banter between her and Padilla.
Speaking with Pep, she said: “Ganyan kasi kami magkuwentuhan ni Bela so parang nasanay na kami sa isa’t isa. Tapos, nakalimutan namin, sa kakatsika namin, na nanonood pala ang buong bansa.”
She added that the song Padilla sang, “Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal,” meant nothing. She also said that it was just Padilla’s way of getting back at her for the all the teasing she did about a “G-Force” dancer.
“Wala, ano lang namin ‘yun, biruan, sobrang joke-joke lang,” she reiterated. “Iyon nga, ‘yung ibang tao sobrang solid supporters sila, naaapektuhan sila. Hindi sila sanay sa amin.”
Padilla and Chiu, along with Angelica Panganiban, are known to be very close friends.
