KIM Seon-ho and Go Youn-jung will star in an upcoming romance Korean drama on Netflix, which explores the theme of overcoming language barriers, the streamer said.

The two stars are set to lead the series with the working title “Can This Love Be Translated?”, penned by the renowned Hong sisters, Netflix said.

The series follows a translator and celebrity, whose professional relationship blossoms into romance.

Seon-ho, who rose to fame through the K-dramas “Start-Up” and “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” plays Ju Ho-jin, a translator who is fluent in multiple languages, including English, Japanese and Italian.

Meanwhile, Youn-jung, who previously starred in shows such as “Sweet Home” and “Alchemy of Souls,” will take on the role of the cheerful A-list celebrity Cha Mu-hee.

The cast includes Choi Woo-sung (from “My Roommate Is a Gumiho”), Lee E-dam (“Daily Dose of Sunshine”), and Japanese actor Sota Fukushi (“As the Gods Will” and “My Tomorrow, Your Yesterday”) in his first Korean drama series.

The Hong sisters are known for writing a number of popular K-dramas, such as “My Girl,” “My Girlfriend is a Gumiho,” “Hotel del Luna”, and “Alchemy of Souls.”

It has yet to announce the series’ premiere date. (ABS-CBN News)
