BACOLOD City – A Korean national wanted for fraud in South Korea was arrested in Dumaguete City.
Intelligence operatives of the Bureau of Immigration’s Fugitive Search Unit caught the 48-year-old Kim Cheon Syb of Infante Subdivision, Dumaguete City, a police report showed.
The Korean national – who had the alias “Omalin Sin Hotha” – was taken in custody by the Immigration bureau after his arrest on April 4.
He was subject to deportation, the Dumaguete City police station said.
Immigration operatives apprehended the Korean national on the strength of Mission Order No. JHM-2018-079, issued under Executive Order No. 287 by Immigration commissioner Jaime Morente, the police report stated. (PNA)
