ILOILO City – A 25-year-old South Korean killed his father at their apartment in Ledesco Village, Barangay Cubay, Jaro district.
According to Hye Soo Chun, detained at the Jaro police station, he was overcome by rage when he saw his mother being mauled by his 57-year-old father Jin Soo Chun yesterday around 8:30 a.m.
From what Jaro police investigators gathered, Jin Soo Chun had an argument with his wife and it turned physical.
Hye Soo Chun tried to stop this father, said Senior Inspector Tranquilino Querubin of the Jaro police station.
For a moment, the mother managed to run and lock herself inside a room, leaving behind her husband and son.
Several minutes later Jin Soo Chun died. Responding policemen recovered a rope around his neck.
A knife was also found near Jin Soo Chun’s body.
