NOT even six autoimmune diseases can dim Kris Aquino’s spirit as she went back to work despite her ongoing health battle, according to her close friend and writer-editor Dindo Balares.

Aquino’s health update was disclosed by Balares on his Instagram account on Saturday, February 15, where he announced that she is “back working.”

“She’s back working! ‘Yan ang latest kay Kris Aquino. Sinubukan niya the other day (This is the latest update on Kris Aquino. She tried to work the other day),” he wrote.

However, Balares said Aquino’s health is still frail, as one day’s worth of work is tantamount to “three days of bed rest.” He also opted to not disclose the details of what the actress-host is working on.

“‘But we all realized — 1 day of work means 3 days of bed rest,’ kuwento niya. ‘Yan lang muna ang good news ko. ‘Di pa ako puwedeng magbigay ng details,” he said. “Baka masabihan na naman ako ng, ‘Kung minsan daldal ka rin, Kuya Dindo.’”

Aquino recently celebrated her 54th birthday on Valentine’s Day where she spent her special day with her sons Josh and Bimb.

In October 2024, the Queen of All Media shared that she’s planning to launch a new show with ABS-CBN. She, however, remained mum about the details of its concept and if it would either be shown on free TV or in a digital format.

“Secret muna ‘yung concept, but you will get to see the reality of Kris, (my son) Bimb, and my ‘through the years’ best friends (my extended family) and definitely my team of doctors who are now among my most trusted friends,” she said of the upcoming show.
