BACOLOD City – In La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, two drug suspects were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations of the police.
In the first operation, a resident of Barangay 2 yielded 15 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000.
Suspect Ian Erwin Nolasco, 36, was apprehended at around 4:40 p.m. on June 8 in Barangay 1.
Police recovered the P15,000 marked money that a poseur buyer used; P300 cash; a cellular phone; drug paraphernalia; and a motorcycle.
The suspect, who faces a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, was taken to the La Carlota police station.
In the other operation, cops arrested a drug suspect and seized one gram of suspected shabu in Hacienda Fe, Barangay Batuan at around 4:30 p.m. also on June 8. In this buy-bust, the city police was backed up by the 2nd Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company.
The suspect was Jomar Jalandoni, a 37-year-old fish vendor and resident of CBC Paet Relocation, Barangay Batuan. He sold a sachet to a police poseur buyer for P1,000, police said.
Recovered from this operation were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu; the P1,000 buy-bust money; a Samsung A20S touchscreen cellphone; a brown leather coin purse; and a black Kawasaki HDIII Motorcycle with Chassis No. KC125E-BE9371.
The three heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu was valued at P6,800.
Jalandoni was taken to the La Carlota City police station.
