BACOLOD City – A 31-year-old man accused of rape was arrested in Barangay 3 Poblacion, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.
Diony Mendoza’s arrest warrant (Criminal Case No. 6679) was issued by Presiding Judge Cyclamen Jison Fernandez of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 63 (La Carlota City) just this Oct. 8.
A 23-year-old woman claimed she was raped sometime in July 2021.
From his house where he was served the arrest warrant by policemen at around 9 a.m. on Oct. 16, Mendoza was taken to the La Carlota City police station.
No bail was recommended for Mendoza’s temporary liberty./PN
