BACOLOD City – A shooting incident in Purok Maghirupay, Barangay Tapi, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental left a 40-year-old man dead.
Police identified the fatality as Ridardo Cabison Jr., a resident of Barangay Nagasi, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental.
According to the police, the victim was watching card games at a funeral wake around 10 p.m. on May 4 when attacked by an unidentified gunman.
Cabison was rushed to a nearby hospital where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Police recovered two empty shells of a .45-caliber pistol from the crime scene.
As of this writing, police have yet to ascertain the gunman’s identity and motive./PN
