BACOLOD City – He was listed as the No. 2 most wanted person in the municipal police station of La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
The 30-year-old laborer April “Wasak” Alvarez was arrested around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday in Barangay Lalagsan, La Castellana, a police report showed.
Alvarez – a resident of Barangay 21, Victorias City, Negros Occidental – faces murder and frustrated homicide charges, police said.
Joint personnel from the La Castellana police station and the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office staged his arrest.
Alvarez was detained in the lockup cell of the municipal police station.
The court recommended a P24,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty under the frustrated homicide case, but no bail bond was recommended under the murder charge./PN
