ILOILO City – A physician accused four people, including a relative, of stealing his antique tables and chairs.
Twenty-four antique tables, four chairs, a large wooden sculpture of “The Last Supper,” and two concrete statues – with a total value of P500,000 – were taken on Wednesday, said Dr. Marcelo Jaen.
The 63-year-old resident of Barangay Gustilo, La Paz district reported to the police that these items were placed in their ancestral house in Barangay Luna, Jaro.
Dr. Jaen tagged the following as his suspects:
* relative Noe Jaen, 76 of Barangay Poblacion, Leganes, Iloilo
* Randy Cabalon, 29, of the same village
* Arnold Anas, 58, of Barangay Napnud, Laganes
* a certain “Nonoy,” 47, of Barangay Lapayon, Leganes
Dr. Jaen claimed the suspects entered the ancestral house at 3:37 p.m., took the items and loaded them to a truck, police said.
The persons the physician named cannot be reached for comment as of this writing./PN
