ILOILO City – More or less 15 people ganged up on them, two La Paz district residents told the police.
The 23-year-old King Eunar Lara and the 33-year-old Florian Pineda – both from Barangay San Gregorio, La Paz – were mauled inside Lola D Eatery on Burgos Street in the district, a police report showed.
The motive was not immediately known.
Lara and Pineda were about to eat at around 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 18 when attacked, police said.
Lara identified three of their attackers – Joed Tuniacao, 23, of Barangay Divinagracia; Kerby Delgado, 20, of Barangay Jereos; and “Martin,” 24, of Barangay La Granja, all in La Paz – the police report stated.
The victims sustained injuries on various parts of the body. Police referred them to the West Visayas State University Medical Center in Jaro./PN
