Despite suiting up with just eight players, La Paz National High still managed to keep in step with the Golden Lions before totally dominating its opponent in the fifth and deciding set.

It was the second time this month that La Paz National High bested the rebuilding Golden Lions after also defeating it for the Victor C. Plagata Cup Season 14 crown in Bingawan, Iloilo.

Spearheading the team were Lara Mae Silva, Elizza Anne Alimen, Princess Zyne Tumayao, Trisha Dequilla, Cherry Bagnate, Cathleen Nogales, Mary Karylle Suplico, and Jhona Yee.

In the elimination round, La Paz National High crushed Colegio dela Purisima Concepcion of Capiz and Guimaras before losing to the Golden Lions to end up at second place heading into the gold medal round.

Guimaras, meanwhile, emerged as the third place team after beating Colegio dela Purisima in the battle-for-third place game./PN
