ILOILO City ā€“ For allegedly attacking a store attendant, a 27-year-old resident of Barangay Ticud, La Paz district was arrested.

Fernand Tibon was accused of hitting Ron Kevin Rivera, 30, with a ā€œpointed objectā€ on the chest, a police report showed.

Rivera was attending to a female customer at his variety store at around 1 a.m. on Sunday when Tibon, who was believed drunk, held the hand of the woman, stated the police report.

This annoyed the woman. Rivera tried to mediate, and that was when Tibon struck him, police said.

Tibon tried to run away but a bystander chased and accosted him. Rivera then arrested him and turned him over to the La Paz police station with the help of police officers on patrol.

Rivera was wounded on the chest while Tibon had scratches on the left hand, both knees and the left side of the body.

Personnel from the Iloilo City Emergency Response team applied first aid on them, the police report stated./PN
