ILOILO City – A woman was nabbed for issuing bouncing checks in Barangay Jalandoni Estate-Lapuz, La Paz district.
The 40-year-old Sharon Aquino of Barangay Jereos, La Paz was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant around 10:40 a.m. on Sept. 16, a police report showed.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the La Paz police station, facing charges for violation of Batas Pambansa 22, the law penalizing the making or drawing and issuance of a check without sufficient fund or credit. The court recommended a bail bond worth P2,000 for Aquino’s temporary liberty./PN
