BACOLOD City – A laborer was found dead in Purok Kalubihan 2, Barangay Mailum, Bago City, Negros Occidental.
Police said the 28-year-old Louisito Ton-ugan of Purok May, Barangay Ara-al, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental died of head injuries.
Ton-ugan’s body was discovered around 7:30 a.m. on Friday, a police report showed.
It was the victim’s uncle – Armando Ton-ugan – who found the body inside a bunkhouse.
Police only identified the suspect as “Diokdiok.”
Investigation showed that Diokdiok and Ton-ugan had a drinking spree a day before the latter’s body was found.
A witness told the police that the two had a heater argument while drinking. The altercation may have prompted Diokdiok to hit Ton-ugan on the head using a stone, police said.
