ILOILO – A 40-year-old man died after he was accidentally electrocuted in Miagao National High School in the town’s Barangay Kirayan.
Martin Magbanua, a resident of Barangay Centro, Dao, Capiz, was installing the ceiling of a room of the school’s newly constructed building with his two-coworkers when the incident happened around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24.
“Naipit dira ang wiring sang extension wire nga posible nagisi kag may kuryente, amo to nga nakuryente siya. Nagapatong siya sa scaffolding,” Staff Sergeant Danilo Nacional, investigator of the Miagao Municipal Police Station (MPS), told Panay News.
The victim was immediately brought to the Miagao Rural Health unit but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
