CAPIZ – A laborer was fatally stabbed during an altercation in Sitio Pinamantawan, Barangay Mianay, Ivisan town.
The 37-year-old alias “Isidro” was allegedly drunk when he arrived at a nearby sari-sari store, carrying a bladed weapon, on Sunday evening, August 25.
Ivisan police said an argument ensued between the victim and the suspect identified as alias “Joebel,” 48, prompting the former to strike the latter on the chest.
This led to grappling and Joebel managed to grab the bladed weapon and stabbed the victim, which resulted to his death, police added.
The suspect was immediately arrested and detained at the custodial facility of the Ivisan police station.
He is facing charges of homicide./PN
