ILOILO City – Inside jail was where a laborer landed after hacking his co-worker in Barangay Aquino Nobleza, Janiuay, Iloilo.
The 21-year-old Nestor Ardiente, a resident of the village, was arrested and detained in the lockup facility of the municipal police station.
Ardiente was the suspect in hacking the 29-year-old Dempaul Morcillo, also a resident of Barangay Aquino Nobleza, a police report showed.
According to the police, Ardiente and Morcillo had a heated argument which led to the hacking around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday.
It was however not immediately clear what triggered the altercation.
Morcillo sustained a hack wound on the face. He was currently recuperating at the Janiuay District Hospital./PN
