ILOILO City – A 21-year-old laborer was detained at the police station in San Dionisio, Iloilo.
Norben Cananao has been wanted for a homicide charge.
The court set at P30,000 the bail bond for his temporary liberty.
Officers served him a warrant of arrest at 8:20 a.m. on July 27 in Barangay Tiabas, San Dionisio where he also lived, a police report showed.
WOMAN JAILED FOR ‘BOUNCING’ CHECK
Because of a “bouncing check,” a 43-year-old woman was detained in Police Station 1.
Christine Draper has been charged with violation of Batas Pambansa 22, a police report showed.
Police arrested her on Monday in Barangay Pandac, Pavia, Iloilo where she resides.
Officers served her a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Ofelia Artuz of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities Branch 5.
The court set the bail bond for her temporarily liberty at P5,000.
It was not immediately clear as of this writing if she already posted bail./PN
