ILOILO City – Six plastic packs of shabu were seized from a 42-year-old laborer on Tuesday.
George Sendico was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tabuc Suba, Jaro district where he also lives.
Sendico sold a sachet of shabu to undercover officers for P500 at around 1:20 p.m., a police report stated. Five more sachets of the same substance were seized from him.
Sendico faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In Barangay Poblacion Southeast, Lemery, Iloilo, the court ordered the arrest of a drug suspect who failed to attend his arraignment.
Officers served the 28-year-old resident Lester Horida a bench warrant at around 6 a.m., a police report showed.
Horida has been charged with drug selling and possession – violations of RA 9165. The court did not grant him bail.
He was detained at the Lemery police station./PN
