ILOILO – A 15-year-old lad was found lifeless on the shore of a beach resort in Barangay Nanga, Guimbal, on Monday morning, Dec. 18.
The drowning victim was identified as “Biboy,” a resident of Barangay Tacuyong Norte in Leon town.
According to Police Corporal Carl Francis Boston, an investigator from Guimbal Municipal Police Station, more than 20 teenagers from Leon had visited the resort for a swim. They arrived at the resort around 10 a.m. on Dec. 17 and left around 4 p.m.
The group only noticed later that Biboy was missing, while his friends assumed he had already returned home.
Concerns escalated when, past midnight, the victim’s family reported to the police that Biboy had not returned home.
The family, together with the authorities, rushed to the resort and confirmed the tragic discovery of the victim’s lifeless body. (With additional details from Aksyon Radyo Iloilo)/PN
