ILOILO City – A 35-year-old man is now the subject of a police manhunt after he allegedly killed his father in Barangay Panuran, Lambunao, Iloilo.
Jose Jimmy Lastimoso was tagged as suspect in fatally shooting his 57-year-old father Jimmy around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, police said.
Lastimoso remains at large as of this writing.
Lambunao police chief Senior Inspector Rene Obregon said Lastimoso got irked on his father who was drunk when he arrived home.
A commotion ensued between the two, police said.
They were pacified by a relative who was not immediately identified.
Minutes later, a gunfire was heard. Jimmy was then found lying on the floor with a gunshot wound on the chest.
Officers from the Lambunao police station were looking into an old family feud as motive in the incident.
“The suspect often sees his father mauling his mother,” said Obregon.
A parricide case will be filed against the Lastimoso, he added./PN
