ILOILO City – A man was shot in Barangay Tubungan, Lambunao, Iloilo.
The 30-year-old resident Dave Gonzales sustained gunshot wounds on the body, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspect as 37-year-old resident Joemarie Mandate.
According to police investigators, Joemarie and his brother Joebert were having a drinking session with Gonzales when a heated argument ensued between the Mandates around 1 a.m. on Aug. 26.
Joemarie allegedly shot Gonzales using an improvised 12-gauge shot gun after the latter tried to pacify the altercation.
Gonzales was brought to the Lambunao District Hospital for medical treatment.
Officers of the Lambunao municipal police station conducted a manhunt operation against Joemarie, who fled after the incident./PN
