BACOLOD City – Land conflict was the motive in a fatal shooting in Purok Gemilina, Barangay Pandamon, Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental, according to police initial investigation.
The 28-year-old Alex Paciano of Purok Mabuhay also in Barangay Pandamon was shot dead while he was driving his motorcycle around 2 p.m. on Friday.
Paciano – who was on his way to his farm at the time – was hit on the head, causing his instant death, police said.
Municipal police head Chief Inspector Jerald Muya said Paciano’s body was discovered an hour after the shooting.
The suspect, who was still unidentified as of this writing, fled to an unknown direction.
Police were still hunting the suspect as investigation was ongoing./PN
