BACOLOD City – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has distributed 4,724 Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) during the official visit of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to Negros Occidental on Monday, April 8.

The CLOAs cover about 2,550 hectares of land, which benefit at least 2,797 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs).

These are on top of P69.17 million worth of support services doled out to 19 ARB organizations in the province, ensuring the sustenance of the agricultural sector and improving the overall well-being of the farmers.

Among the support services are farm-to-market road (FMR) projects, the Tulay ng Pangulo Para sa Kaunlarang Pang-Agraryo (TPKP) project, and farm machinery and equipment.

The ceremonial turnover was held at the Manuel Y. Torres Memorial Coliseum and Cultural Center in Bago City.

Earlier, Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III pledged to continue his support for this cause, emphasizing the importance of enhancing the livelihoods of Filipino farmers by providing them with essential resources and support. (Watchmen Daily Journal)/PN
