ILOILO – A landslide on Thursday, Sept. 28, resulted in the destruction of six houses in Barangay Lico, Alimodian.
According to Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Sherwin Bering, six families, totaling 36 individuals, were relocated.
Some have temporarily taken shelter at the barangay hall, while others have found accommodation with relatives, Bering added.
No injuries were reported.
Currently, the area is temporarily closed to motorists. Barangay Lico falls under the red category, indicating it is highly susceptible to soil erosion. (With a report from Bombo Radyo Iloilo)/PN
