ILOILO – The Leganes Municipal Police Station (MPS) has its eye on five personalities in the attempted summary execution of Glen Paloma.

On March 26, the 39-year-old Paloma was found hogtied and with six gunshot wounds in a rice field in Barangay Calaboa, Leganes town.

“Ang persons of interest naton mga five personalities,” Police Captain John Robles, chief of Leganes MPS, told Panay News yesterday.

“Ginahingagaw namon subong nga adlaw (Wednesday) ma-file ang kaso. With regards to further details, indi lang ‘guro kita anay makahatag unless na-file na gid ang case,” said Robles.

He added that Paloma recalled the appearances of the five suspects and said, “Ang survivor naton ara sa safe place.”

Paloma served jail time in 2016 for illegal drugs but was able to secure a plea bargain in October last year.

Iloilo Police Provincial Office spokesperson Major Rolando Araño earlier said the province remains peaceful despite two consecutive alleged summary executions.

On March 23, 58-year-old Allen Sanchez was found dead in Barangay Linobayan, Tigbauan. Three sachets of suspected shabu and one sachet of marijuana were found in his wallet.

At the back of Sanchez’s shirt was the inscription, “Para sa bayan Toto Desilos Ungka BJMP Munti Drug Group.”/PN
