ILOILO City – For illegal possession of firearm, a man was arrested in Barangy Velasco, Lemery, Iloilo.
He was 37-year-old Kenny Gonzales of Poblacion North West, Lemery, a police report showed.
Gonzales was caught at a police checkpoint around 4:39 p.m. on Jan. 14, the report added.
When frisked, Gonzales yielded an improvised .38-caliber revolver with 12 live bullets and four live bullets of a .22- caliber revolver.
The suspect was detained in the lockup cell of the Lemery police station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
