ILOILO City – Police were still trying to determine the motive behind the shooting of a farmer in Leon, Iloilo.
Demetrio Calubayan of Barangay Malublub, Leon sustained a gunshot wound on the body. He was confined in the Aleosan District Hospital.
Calubayan was standing at a waiting shed in Barangay Malublub at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday when attacked, a police report stated.
Police have identified a suspect: Steven Cajiba.
The suspect fled after the incident, police said, citing witnesses.
