Q: “AGAIN, what is prayer for ThePSN?”
***
I’ve been tracking sunrises and sunsets since January 1, 2022.
And so far, I’ve been religiously good about it.
Rain, shine, snow, or storm, I’m there to watch the sun rise or set in dark gloomy conditions, or in glorious colors.
***
Watching the sun is more prayerful for me.
Just taking that time off my daily grind—5 minutes before the published sunrise or sunset, and 10 minutes after—is a dedication of my day to God.
“Taking time off from the world for God.”
See how beautiful that phrase is?
***
In my sunrise/sunset time, there is no supplication, there is no asking God a favor.
There is only thanksgiving, gratitude, gratefulness.
There is no need for words.
And these are perfect moments for me to listen to God.
***
When we are not concerned with what we need, when we are not busy with our own words, then, God speaks to us better.
When we really listen, God speaks to us.
***
So, I look down on people who think that a thief and a liar should be the next president.
Because I know in my heart that it is not God’s true message.
***
A lot of religious groups in the Philippines have been bought and paid off to campaign for candidates with a lot of ill-gotten wealth.
There is no God in those transactions.
Keyword: ‘transactions.’
***
For people who really pray like I do, and I am proud to say that I pray more than an average person, God tells the whole story, the big picture.
The healing story.
God gives the gift of discernment.
God gives wisdom, and happiness, and contentment.

Q: “Why is ThePSN very active on social media?”
***
I have a real life, and I have a social media life.
My social media life just became more active when the pandemic started.
And it is even most active now because we are headed for a very crucial presidential election in the Philippines.
***
If paid trolls, and history revisionists, and Marcos apologists lord over the social media with misinformation, disinformation, and lies, why shouldn’t I use my own platform for good?
And that is to say, for piquing the imagination, and initiating the critical thinking of netizens.
***
But I’m not only selling a story.
I’m also selling myself.
It is important that people see that I am traveling, that I am living the life, that I am not miserable, that I am outside the country, and enjoying the best of everything.
It is important for them to see that I do not belong to their level of poverty, economic dependence, or even “self-worth”.
That I have an eagle’s view, not a worm’s view of the world like theirs.
***
It is important to emphasize that ThePSN cannot be bought.
Cannot be politically influenced by money, goons, and guns.
***
In social media, the netizens also need to see that I am a simple person with simple needs (but with a complicated lifestyle caused by my wealth, and global experience).
I post every meal that I eat on social media.
And from that, people can actually see that often, I only eat once a day. Maybe twice.
And when I eat three or four times a day, that’s only because of “social eating”—eating for socialization purposes.
***
I mean, I’m not the type who would try to be difficult in parties just because I am on an intermittent fasting diet.
My diet can wait, people and socialization can’t.
And it’s not like I socialize in eating parties everyday!
***
The sunrise/sunset posts on my social media is my way to show my spirituality, my simplicity, my dedication.
Because it is punctual, thorough, and complete, people can sense that I am serious, I am dedicated, I am a no-nonsense kind of person.
That I follow through my New Year’s resolutions, that I honor my words, that I do not use my words lightly.
And that virtue is important if you are trying to be an influencer in an election year.
***
I have no delusions that my sincerity and social media accountability will trump the cash exchange of vote buying (P500-P1,000, I heard).
But I still believe in the decency of some Filipinos.
And I’m still hopeful that my honest, sincere, and strong convictions will win some more votes.
They already have converted a few people to the Pink campaign, I was assured, even in my travels.
If you are any other color, be not the last to be converted.
The future is Pink!
