ILOILO – In support of Miss Universe Philippines representative Rabiya Occeña Mateo, the Local Government Unit of Balasan, Iloilo will offer prayers at the Saint Anne Catholic Parish on Sunday, May 16.
Mayor Manuel C. Ganzon confirmed the reportt in interview with Panay News.
“Kami sa banwa sang Balasan maga-prepare and offer sang mass kag prayers man in support kay Miss Rabiya Mateo,” said Ganzon.
According to the Mayor, they are not able to install a wide screening of the event due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Unfortunately ara kita sa pandemic, indi kita maka-provide sang isa ka venue para magpagwa sang isa ka live telecast sang pageant.”
Ganzon is instead encouraging the public to watch and support their Miss Universe representative in their respective homes.
“Gina-encourage ko gid ang mga pumoluyo, not just mga pumoluyo kundi bilog kita tanan nga Ilonggo knowing nga si Miss Rabiya Mateo is from Balasan isa sia ka Ilongga suportaran ta gid sia.”
Ganzon said he was personally excited to watch the live telecast of the coronation night.
