ILOILO City – A woman and his son died when they got hit by a lightning strike in Sitio Agcagay, Barangay Bunga, Mambusao, Capiz.
Police identified the victims as Roshel Ledesma, 35, and her five-year-old son.
From what the Mambusao police gathered so far, the boy was lying on his mother’s shoulder when they were found inside their house by their relatives.
The two sustained multiple burns caused by lightning.
They were rushed to the hospital but declared dead by the attending physician.
It was past 11 p.m. of Sept. 13 when heavy rains poured with thunderstorms and lightning.
The family heard a loud explosion followed by a brownout before they found the two victims lifeless./PN
